Terms of use
Last updated October 6, 2026
These terms apply to diagnostic centers that use BetterLabs and to everyone who signs in to it for them. By using BetterLabs you agree to them.
The service
BetterLabs is software for running a diagnostic center: reception, laboratory, imaging, billing, stock, staff and company exams. It helps people do their work; it does not replace their professional judgment.
The center's responsibilities
- The center is responsible for its medical work and everything it enters: patients' details, prices, reference ranges, results, reports and signatures. BetterLabs never supplies these.
- The center keeps its licences and accreditations, and follows the Data Privacy Act, Department of Health rules and other laws that apply to it — including having a Data Protection Officer and the patients' consent it needs.
- The center decides who in its staff gets an account and what they may do, and removes access when someone leaves.
- Results are released by the center's qualified staff; the software checks rules (for example licences and second verification) but the professional remains responsible for what is released.
Your account
- Keep your password to yourself. Everything done with your account is recorded as yours.
- Tell your administrator at once if you think someone else used it.
Acceptable use
Use BetterLabs only for the center's legitimate work. Do not try to reach another center's records, get around permissions, disrupt the service, or copy the software.
Personal information
How personal information is handled is explained in the privacy notice. The center is the controller of its records; BetterLabs processes them for the center.
Availability and changes
We work to keep BetterLabs running and its data backed up, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Keep a way to continue essential work during an outage. We improve the software over time and will tell centers about changes that affect how they work.
Responsibility
To the extent the law allows, BetterLabs is not liable for decisions made with the software, for information entered by the center, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
Ending use
A center may stop using BetterLabs at any time; its records are returned to it or deleted as it instructs. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
